"LA SOMMER" An Atlas Lens Co x Neighbors Film

This was an amazing process. Imagine gettin to run around free in the oldest elementary school in the hood, on a Sunday, with about 10 crew members and 40 kids… This film was a special sort of partnership between Atlas Lens Co. and Neighbors Skate Shop.

The goal here was to take a brand new prototype lens at the time, a Mercury 42mm 1.5x Squeeze anamorphic lens ,made by the amazaing minds of the Atlas team, a small budget, a few bits and go make a little short film! And so we did.. and did so on such an experimental point of view. We rotated the lens 90 degrees in the PL-Mount in order to broaden the vertical resolution of the rectangular RED RAPTOR-VV sensor to form a more or less native 4:3 aspect ratio with a ton of character.
